(Architecture)

  1. A lateral part or projection of a building or structure such as a wing wall.
  2. A subordinate part of a building possibly not connected to the main building.
  3. The sides of a stage (theatre).


(Dance) It is a step similar to a pick-up except the feet scrape out directly sideways and brush back into a parallel position. There are many variations of this step such as double-wings, one-footed wings, and maxie-ford wings. Source: User Submission
