Belt tensioning device

Jump to navigationJump to search

A device fitted to a belt conveyor that automatically takes up any slack or stretch in the belting. A gravity takeup device is sometimes fitted immediately behind the driving unit, thus eliminating slack that would otherwise occur. The main disadvantage of gravity takeup is that it gives the belt three entire bends. Nelson
